(Bonita Springs, FL, July 17, 2008) – Mark your calendars for the Bonita Springs YMCA’s Fall Family Festival to be held on Saturday, November 15. The purpose of this family-focused event is to bring together the Bonita Springs/Estero community and to raise funds to support the YMCA in a day that will include activities, food, and fun. The event will run from 10 am to 5 pm at the YMCA, located at 27200 Kent Road, just one-mile east of Imperial Parkway off East Terry. The event will feature games for kids and adults, raffles, a health and wellness walk, area vendors, and food.
One of the YMCA’s major goals is that no one is ever turned away for an inability to pay. Many families in our community have been adversely affected by current economic conditions and the YMCA has experienced a major increase in requests for financial assistance. All proceeds from the Fall Family Festival will support YMCA programs and services such as summer camp, youth sports, swim lessons, and membership. YMCA programs engage members in strengthening no only their own minds, bodies and spirits, but in coming together as a community in support of one another.
The YMCA is seeking both sponsors and volunteers for the Fall Family Festival. Businesses, organizations, and individuals can choose from sponsorship levels starting at $100 to over $1,000; in-kind donations are also greatly appreciated. Sponsoring the event gives area businesses the opportunity to give back to the community. In addition, area businesses are encouraged to register for a vendor booth at the event.
Join your local community and the Bonita Springs YMCA for a fun filled day of events & games, programs & contests, crafts & sciences, raffles & prices, health & wellness, food, music, entertainment and much more.
