Project Graduation 2009 was held on Friday, May 29, 2009, from 11 pm to 4 am at the Greater Naples YMCA. With nearly 1200 tickets sold, the 2009 Project Graduation event was the largest ever and was open to graduating seniors from 9 Collier County High Schools. The support and contributions of local businesses and organizations, parents, high schools, and community leaders is what makes this event so successful. In particular, this year's event was made possible through the generous support of our Gold Sponsors: the Collier County Rotary Clubs (special thank you to John Smarge for spearheading this contribution), Collier County Wal-Mart Stores, Arthrex, and Comcast Cable. Thank you to all those that donated tangible prizes to help us reach our goal of 250 prize give-aways to our Project Graduation attendees!
Since Project Graduation’s inception in 1985, there has NEVER been an alcohol-related fatality on graduation night in Collier County. Thank you to everyone for keeping the “tradition alive” and supporting our graduates each year as they are the future leaders, business owners, and parents of our community.
